Perfecting your pre-game routine, both mentally and physically, will help you play your best. In order for a pre-game routine to work, it needs to be SPECIFIC and SYSTEMATIC.
Pre-game routines help you clear your mind, review the game, and improve performance. Athletes who follow these mental tools are proven to be more successful!

Visualization
Imagine the skill you are going to execute from your point of view. The phrases and words you choose should create a visual picture of yourself doing exactly what you say.
Now, immerse yourself in that moment and do it again. Visualize that exact moment over and over again, until it gets in-grained in your mind.
Self-Talk
Self-talk is anything you say to yourself, whether it’s in your head or spoken out loud. Positive self-talk sets you up for success. Be aware of your self-talk habits and choose positive self-talk on purpose. The more you do it, the easier it gets!
Choose familiar and comfortable statements that you can use in a variety of situations such as
Use self-talk to build your confidence and re-assure yourself that you can do anything you say.
Goal Setting
Setting a short-term pre-game goal will help you stay focused. Create an immediate performance goal that will help you become immersed in the present moment such as
Set short term goals. Write them down. Refer to them on a daily basis. Track them to make sure you are making progress.
Use the techniques of visualization, self-talk, and goal setting to build your unbreakable mindset.

- SAY positive words

- Close your eyes, clear your mind, breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth.
- Remember the team’s last win or a game you played really well
- Remember a specific play that you made
- Remember exactly how you made that play
- What led up to that play?
- What were you thinking at that time?
- What did you see and hear?
- Think about the feelings you had of making that play
