Hi, Coach Randy here.  I’m a certified life coach, certified mental strength coach, and high school basketball coach.  I’m one of the most passionate basketball coaches in the U.S. (not sure how you measure that, but that’s how I feel).  I love teaching the game of basketball and more importantly how players can gain an advantage in the game through their skill development, athletic performance, and mental mindset.  Today, I want to share with you something extraordinary.  Something that will make an impact in your life.  Make sure to read everything on this page from top to bottom to find out more!

You see, my goal in life is to be the best possible Father, Husband, Brother, Son, Mentor, & Coach I can possibly be.  My life mantra is based on legendary USC and Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, who developed the "ALWAYS COMPETE" mindset and philosophy.  "Competition to me is not about beating your opponent. It is about doing your best; it is about striving to reach your potential; and it is about being in relentless pursuit of a competitive advantage in everything you do.  For him, his philosophy to compete guides him to be-his-very-best as a father, a husband, a coach and a friend. In his words, he’s “on a relentless pursuit to do it better than it’s ever been done before.” That includes building relationships and building cultures that can drive repeatable success.
I started my basketball coaching at the YMCA level coaching 7yr olds.  I then started my own AAU teams, partnered with high school teams to became the exclusive skills trainer for several local high schools.  I continued to coach at the high school level both for AAU and California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) teams.  During this time, I developed several basketball related mobile applications for statistics, data analysis, and film review and helped many high school teams reach unprecedented levels of success.  I leveraged several technologies including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), the Metaverse, Web3.0, and the blockchain to create competitive advantages for coaches, players, and teams.

From a professional standpoint, I worked at several Fortune 100 and start-up companies as well as various markets and industries including government, education, and financial services.  I had the opportunity to work with the Kobe Bryant Foundation in developing a summer curriculum based on the Mamba Mentality.  I also worked at a start-up company to help schools and districts across the U.S. identify students who may be contemplating suicide.  Fast forward to today, through many ups and downs I was able to launch on online curriculum focused on mental mindset and performance.  Jordan McLaughlin, former USC basketball star and current NBA player for the Minnesota Timberwolves serves as the Global Ambassador for the Fight ON! Mentality, helping people achieve greatness using the power of the mind.  I now have a team of several coaches, skills trainers, athletic trainers, and mental mindset coaches helping thousands of players & families from around the world transform their mind, their lives, and their careers.
You see, initially, my main focus has always been to help all players in my local community develop their on-court basketball skills.  I had a vested interest in coaching both of my sons and teaching them the game of basketball.  I worked with my boys several hours a week to hone their basketball skills.  Then one day, my 14yr old who was a freshman in high school at the time, confessed to me that he was a little nervous playing on the JV team and he didn't know how to deal with his lack of confidence.  Initially, I felt like my son should already have the confidence since he's been playing basketball (and playing well) for so long.  I said the typical things to my son like "Just do it" and "Be your best" and "Play hard."  It took me awhile to acknowledge the importance of mental mindset and developing a player's mindset is more than words.
While learning my son's' needs, wants, desires, problems, challenges, obstacles, fears. and seeing all the trends and patterns, I looked to solve those problems by researching 100s of studies, reading 100s of books, listening to 100s of podcasts, watching documentaries, collaborating with psychologists, meeting with psychiatrists, and studying the greatest athletes of our time.  I was 100% committed to developing my son's mental mindset.  I became a complete NERD when it came to learning how to help young players transform their lives into confident leaders who use mental mindset techniques such as visualization, self-talk, and focus.  This quickly snowballed into what we have today, the Fight ON! Mentality - an online mental mindset training curriculum that is proven to help athletes develop an unbreakable mental mindset.  And what excites me the most is, after teaming up with Jordan McLaughlin, Toby Bailey, and Mitch Butler, is that I learned that even world class NBA athletes struggle with mental performance.  All three of my business partners (who all played in the NBA) indicated that the number 1 limiting factor for any athlete is their mind.  They all stressed the importance of "Mind over body and the need to develop an unbreakable mental mindset."
Through my experiences, I've learned that sports is a metaphor for life and the things you learn in sports can also be applied in the business world and your personal life.   It is gratifying to know that when I teach a player the proper skills to:

  • Set goals and achieve them
  • Be fearless in challenging situations
  • Handle high-pressure situations with ease
  • Learn from failure and move forward
  • Overcome stress, nervousness, and anxiety
  • Relax, breathe, and be in the present moment
  • Develop habits of success
  • Maintain consistency in your training
  • Learn how to deal with negative environments
  • Use visualization, self-talk, and focus

These skills will obviously help any player in any sport, but more importantly, will also help them in LIFE!

If you made it this far, I would like to say THANK YOU!  THANK YOU for reading the details, viewing the images, and watching the videos.  I hope I was able to give you some perspective of WHY.  If you just skipped to the bottom of this page, I encourage you to read the entire content from the beginning.

Now, I am pleased to announce that I have published my 2nd book on Amazon, titled Fight ON! Mentality - Reaching Our Goals.  It's actually not a book but an amazing journal to identify, manage, and track near and long term personal goals.  It currently selling in over 30+ countries and I want to share the journal with you, your friends, and your family members.  The journal helps anyone conquer their personal goals in life.  I created the journal to help my two boys become the best they can be by setting moonshot goals and reaching them.  I want them to "ALWAYS COMPETE" and "FIGHT ON!"

The research data on SELF-REGULATED LEARNING in elite performers is mind boggling.  Athletes that engage more in self-regulated learning make more national team appearances, more money, play more, and perform better.  SELF-REGULATED LEARNING is the skill that will teach you how to learn better and faster.  But what is SELF-REGULATED LEARNING you may ask?  SELF-REGULATED LEARNING is the ability to set a goal, use this goal to focus your attention and plan your actions, to evaluate your progress, and to adjust accordingly.  According to one study, SELF-REGULATED LEARNING is about 10 times more powerful than meta cognition, and quite literally separate the best from the rest.  SELF-REGULATED LEARNING is the cheat code.

The Fight ON! Mentality - Reaching Our Goals journal was developed based on the principles and processes of SELF-REGULATED LEARNING (goal setting, planning, monitoring, evaluation, and adjustment).  Each day, an individual uses the journal by simply entering their daily goals and identifying the necessary things to reach their goals.  By reflecting on the accomplishments and achievements, the individual is implementing SELF-REGULATED LEARNING on a daily basis.  There's also a special section to write down exercises for visualization, self-talk, and focus.  Writing things down enables a higher level of thinking and learning, and therefore, more focused action.  With a daily journal focused on goals and mental mindset, you are able to perform at a higher level.  In closing, I ask for your support in helping me help others conquer their goals.  Please click on the Amazon link above and purchase the journal for yourself, a friend, or family member.  There's a hardback and paperback (ships via PRIME) version available.  Anyone who uses the journal will be forever grateful.

THANK YOU!!!
Randy Narciso
Founder of the Fight ON! Mentality
